Octavio Mestre is an architect by the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Barcelona with the outstanding rating. After numerous scholarships in various European countries, was professor of the Department of Theory and Composition of the same (83/88) and municipal architect of Barcelona in the Planning Services between 1987 and 1990, when he decided to devote himself fully to professional practice. Invited by the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) during the “Spring Semester” 1994, and a founding member of the Escola d’Architecture at UIC, where he taught Project (1996-2001), is also since 1997, professor of the School ELISAVA.

Born in Barcelona in 1971. Obtains the title of Technical Architect by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 1999 and the Architect by “International University of Catalonia” in 2005. In 2001 begins to cooperate with the office Octavio Mestre Associates Architects.

  • Carlos Maurette

Born in Caracas (Venezuela) in 1979. Obtains the Title of Architect in 2007 at the university “Santa Maria” in Caracas as #1 in his class. Throughout his studies he worked for several reputable companies in Venezuela. In 2008 came to Barcelona and made the Master of Interior Design at Elisava. For a year he worked for two architecture studios in Barcelona and in January of 2010 began his collaboration in the office Octavio Mestre Associates Architects.

  • Josep Ribas

Born in Castellbisbal in 1979. Obtains the Title in Interior Design by Elisava in 2003, and Applied Arts by Llotja School. After going through several offices in his period as student, he joins the office Octavio Mestre Associates Architects in 2004.

  • Chiara Gerini

  • Architect

Born in Carrara (Italy) in 1993. She finished her Degree in Architecture in 2017 at the Universitá degli Studi de Genova (Polytechnic School) with 110 / cum laude, after studying as an Erasmus student at the Technische Universität Wien and after taking part into a summer school in Seoul during the UIA congress. She has collaborated with the English studio Galmstrup Ltd. in Imagination Cross Cultures in 2017 and in November of that same year she started working for the OMA office.
