Interior design of an apartment at Mallorca st, Barcelona

   The reform of an apartment in the heart of the Eixample, in front of the Sagrada Familia led us to design a space for enjoyment and comfort without forgetting the design. Taking the prominent blue color in the stained glass windows of the Basilica in its closest part to the project as a starting point, we bathed the house in color, making small gestures in the bathroom areas. We start from the idea of ​​flexibility of environments, interior spaces intended for daily life that can be transformed, opened and closed according to needs. The core of the kitchen and bathrooms function as a large box within another box and through cabinets, on both sides, articulate the access to the bathrooms and a second more private bedroom. The interior space is turned onto the exterior through a large 30m2 terrace with microcement flooring and wooden furniture in gray tones so as not to underestimate the incredible views of the city.
