Pedralbes Centre

The shopping center “Pedralbes Centre” always had a problem.

The building did not have clear entrances and people did not identify it as a shopping center, apart from the fact that its proximity to the L’Illa Diagonal shopping center and the Corte Inglés department store has helped put into evidence these deficiencies. Along these ten years, we have been making different changes to improve these entrances by making them more visible, collaborating with the installation of an ice-skating rink between the two buildings and improving the vestibules of the adjoining office buildings. Lately, with a bid for the integral renovation of the center, we have proposed streamlining the confusing signage and different fonts used in the center, enhancing them with a background of steel, aluminum, and black “laminum” (ceramic boards which allow for unconventional sizes which we will superimpose over the current ones, with hardly any work involved), to underscore what is really important; the commercial activity.
